We enjoy hosting a variety of guests and group events at the ranch. Whether you are looking for an single night stay, a long weekend, or a full week to relax and recuperate, we have the venue for you. Either of our high country cabins are perfect for a private family vacation. When you rent one of our cabins, you get a beautiful clean cabin, boat and electric motor and life vests, split firewood for the fireplace, and a lake stocked with huge Rainbow Trout all to yourself! Spring is the time to go. 14 - 16 inch rainbows are the rule in the high country. Each cabin has it's own kitchen filled with utensils silverware, and a coffee pot all you need to do is bring your own food and drinks. Each cabin also has a clean BBQ grill to cook yourself the perfect steak. Our cabins in the high country have a minimum rental of 2 days. However, most people stay at least 3 days.
Lodge rooms overlook the Rayado River and the historic Santa Fe Trail. Kit Carson's home and supply stop along the trail is right across the street from us. During the summer and fall months, tours of his old hacienda are conducted hourly by the Boy Scouts of America. The soldier barracks from this time period are restored and located within 100 yards of our lodge. If you are a history buff, once you get here, you will not want to leave. Ranch staff is available to show you all the sites. If your interests are more toward fishing, with a little notice, we have guides available to take you out for trout or pike.
Family reunions are especially memorable here at the ranch. There is plenty of room for the kids to play outdoors, beautiful dining facilities where our chef prepares your request or kitchen facilities to prepare your favorite meals. Our lodge, bunkhouse, Creek House, and Casa Rayado can accommodate most reunions. You can make your vacation even more memorable with a wildlife viewing tour.
Whatever vacation option you select, a vacation at the Express UU Bar Ranch will be a trip that you and your family will talk about for years.
